What if I don’t need to detox?
Well, I wish I could tell you that that was true! All of us need to detox at least once a year. Ideally, we should detox 2-3 times per year. Our environment has become increasingly toxic, and we’re ingesting toxins through our water, air, and food that we can’t always control. Add in the chemicals in our homes, clothes, plastics, and electronics, and that explains why we’re carrying a toxic load that is far greater than what the body was made to handle.
When our bodies are overexposed to toxins, our liver does its best job to protect us by wrapping toxins in mucus and storing them in fat cells. Yuck! The problem is that when a toxin is stored in our fat, we can’t burn that fat until we release and process that toxin! The reality is that no matter how much you exercise, eat right, and manage your stress, you won’t be able to lose that stubborn fat until you partake in a detox and get rid of those toxins for good.
