Increasing your water, fruit and veggie intake is a great first step, Zoe. Enema devices are probably better to consider if the former don't give you the desired results, at which time you probably should consult your doctor.

Thanks for explaining to me that consuming unhealthy fat and calories can result in constipation. Admittedly, I haven't been able to eat enough fruits and vegetables recently and this habit shows in my stool. It might be a good idea to consult a specialist and see if I should start looking for Enema devices for sale.

Hi Alison

Constipation is not an issue for me as I am fairly regular for the most part. I drink lots of water and eat raw oats .... that combined with exercise I suppose are of great help to me. However, there are times when I am irregular so I usually step up on the water intake for sure.

Thanks for sharing. It will certainly keep me on my toes.

This topic is near and dear to my....er... colon. LOL. I struggle GREATLY with constipation, so this was super helpful and insightful for me! I have tried all these things, but know that exercise is a necessity I am not regular with these days. I just took my Magnesium this morning...

Thank you for this!

The chart cracks me up. My nutritionist friend uses it and it's funny how type 3 and type 4 look so happy compared to the others! I don't often have problems, but when I do, I can usually attribute it to stress. Luckily it's rare and I think all of us struggle with having an occasional 1, 2, 5, or 6 but it should never be the norm!
